1940's Bed Coat Rack
I found another old bed this time at Value Village (not much value there these days) and though what a great coat rack it would make. After stripping the caramel 1940's finish off it I discovered a great combination of black walnut, zebra wood, and walnut burl. I painted the trim black and hunted down some old latches from some old cupboard doors and used them as the hooks. Can't wait to make another one.

# 45 Coat Rack
I found some cool old railroad nails at the salvage yard last week and turned them into this coat rack. With a little internet research I found that the 45 imprinted on the heads of the nails are for the year they were used.

Things for The Men, Money Clips and Cuff Links
I have been toying with the idea of making more man friendly items. It took me a while to locate a supplier with the right findings to complement my work but I finally found them. Woodbee Design

POPPYTALK Handmade Market
When doing a market it is always good to have a market buddy. As great as it is to talk to people about yourself and your stuff all day it is even nicer to connect with the person beside you. This month I am doing the PoppyTalk with my old friend Tracy Fillion from Dear Pony in Nelson BC
